"Then I heard
what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar
of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder,
shouting: "Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty
reigns.

The older Penny and I get, the more we
realize that we live our lives, not according to
some deep philosophy, but rather by simple
one-liners, like "God is in control." I remember
when we were going through our most difficult
times, how Penny would simply take a deep breath
and declare, "God is in control." With that
declaration we could then go on yet for a little
while longer. You see, there's a sense of comfort
in knowing that God is in control, and He won't
let anything happen that isn't in our best
interest, even when we can't see it. He is the God
of the unknown, and because I know the God of the
unknown is a good God, I can rest; I can let go. I
may not understand everything that's happening. I
may not like it. But I can rest in knowing that
God will work all things together for my good, if
I will love Him, and remain available for his
purposes (Romans 8:28). When I feel like things
are getting out of control I don't have to grasp
for control and add to the confusion. I can let
go, because I know my God, who never sleeps, is on
the job. I remember one individual who made up
little signs and posted them all over her house to
remind her that "God is in Control" That just
might be a good idea to remind us that The Lord
Almighty reigns -and we need not worry, because
"God is In Control!"
Question For The
Both of Us: Do we have the peace

Prayer For The Both of
Us: Lord, help us to have faith
to let go of our anxieties and worries with the
knowledge that you are in control, so we don't
have to
